Another draw for determined Lido and whether or not this was two points dropped or one gained for City will not be clear until May.

With Les Davies suspended and Craig Garside injured Bangor drafted Dave Morley into midfield and stuck with wingers Eddie Jebb and Sion Edwards.

In a game of few chances the first incident was an injury to Lido midfielder Stephen Pockett who had to be replaced by Kristian James.

Bangor forced more of the openings in the first half.  City won a freekick wide out on the left which Eddie Jebb curled towards the top corner but home goalkeeper Chris Curtis pulled off a tremendous stop to push the ball away for a Bangor corner. Lido number seven Dan Thomas then headed across goal from the left but Lee Idzi somehow pushed the looping effort over the bar.

Then Alan Bull found space out wide but his low drive sped the wrong side of the upright with Curtis beaten.    On the stroke of half time Dave Morley was shown the yellow card.

No changes at the interval by either side as the bright sunlight started to cast lenghening shadows.

In the opening exchanges maverick winger Leon Jeanne watched his long range effort fly over Lee Idzi's crossbar. The blues midfielder Dave Morley fired wide from outside the box.

Lee Idzi did well to keep out a long range shot before impressing with a smother at the feet of Jon Hood who had pounced on a rare mistake by Bangor centreback Michael Johnston.

With 65 minutes gone blues boss Nev Powell made a double change with Kyle Wilson and Mike Walsh coming on for Sion Edwards and Neil Thomas.

The flurry of activity continued with Jamie Brewerton being yellow carded by referee Whitby. The final chance for City came through Dave Morley whose shot skimmed the crossbar, after good approach play from Alan Bull on the left. But in a game of few chances a goalless draw was perhaps the inevitable outcome.

As time ran out Lido made their second and final change of the afternoon as sixteen year old Jackson Hall made only his second substitute appearance in place of Leon Jeanne.

It mattered not as the whistle blew, a point a piece and a second clean sheet in succession for Bangor which would offer manager Nev Powell some consololation for what might be seen as points dropped. Or a point gained, depending on the final placings!
