An early goal and a late goal were enough to settle this crucial encounter for City which sees us move up to share second spot with Airbus whom we meet in a real crunch encounter next weekend.
It was a game which City could have won more comfortably, particularly when Les Davies somehow managed to block a team-mate's goalbound shot on the Airbus line - but some midfield and defensive wobbles continued to give the visitors hope through out the match when the single-goal margin never quite seemed enough.
Chris Simm continued his good run of form on 13' - nipping in to punish indecision in the Carmarthen defence, whilst Sion Edwards settled any nerves on 90'+1' - finishing a length-of-the field breakaway with a firm shot past Old Gold 'keeper Cann.
