Bangor City Football Club Academy has been in existence since 2002. The Academy is affiliated to Bangor City Football Club in accordance with UEFA licensing regulations. It functions under the guidance of the Welsh Premiership Board and the Welsh Football Trust.

  

The Academy provides a high standard of football training for boys between the ages of 6 and 18 years from all areas of North West Wales. Matches are played against other Welsh academies and some English academies. Every year the Academy enters an international, summer tournament allowing local players the opportunity to play against and make friends with children across the world.

 

The purpose of the Academy is to help local players fulfil their potential. We hope to produce players for the Bangor City Football Club first team, promote players to professional clubs and give players the chance to play for regional and national squads.

 

The Academy receives the Welsh Premiership grant but relies heavily on sponsorship and fundraising to cover running costs. The Academy is run as a non-profit making organisation and many of the staff work voluntarily.
