VINTAGE PROGRAMME SOUGHT: We have had a message from Jarrod Smith, who is desperately trying to track down a copy of the programme for Bangor City v Grantham Town in the FA Trophy 1st Rd Replay on 26/01/1972. If anyone can help Jarrod, please contact him on Jarrod.Smith@eon-uk.com or 07919 478418. (14 February 2005)

NW COAST CUP CLASH: In a late addition to the fixture list, we will now be taking on Anglesey rivals Llanfairpwll in a North Wales Coast Challenge Cup match to be staged tomorrow evening (Tues 15 February) at Farrar Road KO 7.30 pm. This game will give Peter Davenport a chance to test out some fringe players, and some returners from injury - such as Paul Friel and, possibly, Chris Priest. (14 February 2005)

WEEKLY TOTE DRAW. Numbers 12 and 33. There was no winner of the £100.00 prize, so next week's jackpot goes up to £200.00. All recent numbers and winners on the TOTE page. (13 February 2005)

CELEBRITY EVENING: Our Supporters' Assocation has announced a celebrity evening to be held at Bangor Cricket Club on 9 March. Guest of honour is Association President (and former Citizen), BBC sports presenter Ray Stubbs. Other guests will also be appearing. Tickets for the evening cost just £15.00 (inc. a three-course meal) and are available from the Bangor City Supporters' Association farrarend@dsl.pipex.com Nigel on 07944694801, Michael on 07810 433812, Robert on 07787 895463, or at the Club Shop on matchdays. (12 February 2005)

CITY STARS HELP TSUNAMI APPEAL: City players Eifion Jones, Owain Jones, Ben Ogilvy, Paul Roberts and Les Davies have been named in a select Gwynedd WPL XI to take on a Cambrian Coast XI in a game to raise funds for the UNICEF/Save the Children Tsunami Appeal. Players from Porthmadog, Caernarfon, Blaenau Amateurs and Pwllheli will also be taking part, and it's rumoured that City manager Peter Davenport might also be persuaded to bring his boots out of retirement. The game, to be played at Blaenau's Cae Clyd, kicks off at 1.30 pm on Sunday 13 February. (12 February 2005)

COUNCILS TO DECIDE: Two important meetings over the last few days made some progress on the development of our new ground at Nantporth on Holyhead Road. On Monday, 31 January, City of Bangor Council agreed the principle of allowing us a long lease on the new ground. A long lease is essential if the Club is to be allowed to make applications for grants and will secure our future at the ground. We will now have to negotiate the detail of the lease with the District Valuer. On Wednesday 2 February, Gwynedd Councillors deferred a decision on the planning application to allow full development of an all-seater facility at Nantporth, pending a site visit to Nantporth, and further examination of letters in support of, and opposing, the application. See the "Stadium News" page on this site for more background. (2 February 2005)

GET IN THE PICTURE: New full-colour A4-size portraits of current City players and the whole squad are now available from the Club, price £1.00. Check on availability and send your order and payment to the usual Club address, or www.paypal.co.uk to info@bangorcityfc.com or enquire at the Club Shop on matchdays. (1 February 2005)
