AUTUMN SOCCER SCHOOLS: The Club has restarted its successful and popular series of soccer schools which will be running throughout the autumn school term. At the sessions, local youngsters get the opportunity to learn and develop their footballing skills under the expert guidance of UEFA-qualified coaches. Through the autumn term, sessions will be held at Maes Glas, Ffriddoedd Road, Bangor on Thursdays between 4 - 5 pm for 5 - 8 year olds, and on Tuesdays between 4 - 5 pm for 9 - 14 year olds. HOTSPOTS: Journalists with wireless internet-enabled computers can now send their match reports quickly and easily from a number of WiFi hotspot locations located near Farrar Road. According to the WiFi 411 Online Hotspots directory, the Waterloo, Black Bull and Old Glan pubs all have this facility, so thirsty hacks can have a drink as well as file their copy after the final whistle. WELSH CUP - We have been drawn to play nearby North Wales coast neighbours Penmaenmawr Phoenix in the second round of the Welsh Cup - fixture date Saturday 2 October, KO to be confirmed. (19 September 2004).

FRESHERS' FAIR: The Club and the Supporters' Association will have a joint presence at Serendipity, Bangor University Freshers' Fair, on Wednesday and Thursday 22 and 23 September in the Students' Union building. PREMIER CUP: Confirmation that our Premier Cup tie against Newtown will be held on Tuesday 5 October, KO 6.55 to accommodate TV schedules. The game is to be broadcast live - so why not set the video, travel to Latham Park to ensure a great atmosphere and cheer on the lads - then watch the game again when you get home! COMINGS AND GOINGS: City are delighted to welcome back defender Phil Baker from Conference (North) outfit Droylsden. The talented centre back who previously played for City during 2003 has meantime been plying his trade for Exeter and Aberystwyth amongst others. Meantime, City bid farewell to left-sided midfielder Aled Rowlands who has left the Club. Aled had been a faithful servant to Bangor City for a number of years, but had recently suffered more than his fair share of injuries. The Club would like to record its thanks to Aled and wish him all the best for the future. (9 September 2004).

DOGAN FAMILY RECORD: Young Bangor midfielder Gareth Dogan created a bit of footballing history when he came on as a late substitute during City's recent Loosemore's League Cup tie against Caernarfon. Gareth became the fourth generation of his family to wear the famous Bangor shirt, following in the footsteps of great-grandfather Thomas, grandfather Eddie and dad Chris, who turned out for the reserves in the 1980s.
