Bangor City FC Youth Development Plan

The Newly appointed Bangor City Youth Development Officer, Mel Jones has announced that trials will take place for next seasons' Bangor City Footballing Academy.
The footballing academy will be run under strict UEFA and FIFA guidelines and will consist of footballers aged 9 to 11. The Bangor City academy teams will play regularly against other academy sides.
The long term intention is to develop community football within the local area and for the academy to act as a feeder system for the Bangor City FC First team and Girls Squads.
Bangor City have also announced that they intend to develop coach education within the area. The club are looking to sponsor individuals interested in gaining coaching qualifications such as Football Leaders award and UEFA B,C, and A licenses. Anybody interested in gaining qualifications is advised to contact the club.
It is hoped that from the 2004/2005 season, Bangor City will play "mirror games" with other LOW clubs. This means that for example if City play Newtown then Bangor City Juniors will play Newtown juniors before the senior match.
