CITY OF BANGOR HONOURS BANGOR CITY FOOTBALL CLUB

Players and officials of Bangor City Football Club gathered at Penrhyn Hall last night to be honoured by City of Bangor Council in a civic reception.

Opening proceedings, and paying tribute to the Football Club's recent seasons of outstanding success, long-time supporters Cllrs Bryn Hughes (Deputy Mayor) and Eddie Dogan also recalled the club's rich hertiage and glory games from the past.

Responding on behalf of the Football Club, Chairman Dilwyn Jones and President Gwyn Pierce Owen both acknowledged the spirit of co-operation which now existed between the club and the Council, and praised the spirit of togetherness existing within the Football Club, and between the Club and the wider community.

Concluding the formal part of the evening, the Council then presented Football Club officials with a commemorative slate plaque in reconition of its achievements, and the honour these had brought to the City
