Weekend of Cup Finals at Bangor City FC

The weekend of the 9th and 10th May saw Bangor City FC have a great weekend hosting 3 North Wales Cup Finals.

Saturday 9th May saw BCFC host the Mawddach Cup Final between Holywell Town and Llanrug United, a thrilling end to end match which went to extra-time, and saw 3 goals scored in the extra period with Holywell Town becoming eventual winners 3-2.

Sunday 10th May then saw Bangor City play host to the North Wales Women's League Finals Day for the 1st time.  This excellent footballing spectacle saw 2 games played, the North Wales Shield Final and North Wales Cup Final.  The Shield final was contested by GAP Northop Hall and Pwllheli with Northop being crowned champions after a convincing 3 - 1 victory.  Local rivals Caernarfon and Bethel then competed in the main event, the North Wales Women's Challenge Cup Final, with Caernarfon Town Ladies completing a convincing 4-0 win!!
