New Goalkeeper Signs Up

Wales U21 goalkeeper Connor Roberts has signed for Bangor City from Chester. Connor previously spent 4 years at Everton playing alongside players such as Ross Barkley and signed a professional contract with the Toffee's in 2011.

Following loan spells at Burscough and Colwyn Bay, Connor eventually signed for Cheltenham Town in the English League 2 before signing for Chester at the start of the current campaign.

Having played for both the Wales U17 and U19 teams, Connor made his U21 debut in a 3-0 win in a friendly match against Iceland in February 2013. During the recent UEFA 2015 U21 Championship campaign, Connor played five times, keeping three clean sheets with the only goals conceded being in the matches against England. In June 2014 he was called up to the senior squad by manager Chris Coleman for the friendly against the Netherlands.
