Bangor City FC U14 Girls V Corwen FC
Bangor City FC Girls U14 hosted Corwen in their North Wales Girls League home Fixture on Saturday 06th December at The Book People Stadium. After an excellent performance last week V Llandudno, Corwen were a very tough opposition for the girls to face. Bangor City's girls lost 8-0 though Corwen were by far the best overall team which they have faced this season. The girls continued their good performance and increased intensity against Llandudno last weekend forward into this match and while it was disappointing for the girls not to score, especially as they have scored goals in every match so far this season, the Corwen team were very well organised and difficult to break down. Player of the match was Shannon Jones (Back Row, Far Left) who had a fantastic 1st half in goal and a great 2nd half performance playing out!!! Bangor City FC Girls Manager Ethan Ray said “while it is disappointing for the girls to be on the end of a defeat, they could leave the pitch with their heads held high and feeling proud of themselves as they put a huge amount of effort into the game and put in a great performance against the best team they have played this season”
The next game for the U14 is another home match, this time V Brickfield on Saturday 13th Devember at the Book People Stadium.
