Bangor City FC U12 V Gap Northop Hall

Saturday 6th December saw Bangor City FC Girls U12 host Gap Northop Hall in a home North Wales Girls League match. This weekends match offered an incredibly stern test for the girls as they took on top of the table Northop Hall who, coming into this match, had won all 6 of their previous fixtures. This was a fantastic performance against top of the table and unbeaten Northop Hall, it was a great effort by the girls, they showed fantastic application throughout the game and kept going right to the final whistle. This fixture offered the girls an opportunity to see how far they have developed this season against the best team in the league, and despite losing the match 7-0, the girls showed that they are developing as individuals and as a team to be competitive and create chances against a very good opposition. Player of the match for Bangor City F.C. was Catrin Hughes, fantastic performance in her first match as full-time goalkeeper, all the best from everyone at Bangor City after sustaining an injury during the game and having to go to hospital, hope you get better soon!!! Bangor City FC U12 Girls Manager Jonny Pritchard said “it was a fantastic performance by the girls against Gap Northop Hall and it was great to see how far the girls have come and if they put in performances like that against other teams then they will not struggle to win matches in the 2nd half of the season”
