WELSH FOOTBALL MAGAZINE: The latest issue of the popular magazine has just landed, and is on sale through our ebay shop - click the Club merchandise link above. This issue features news and standings from many competitions as the season reaches its climax, and takes a look at the new generation of Welsh internationals coming through the Under-21 ranks. There is a feature on LEIGH ROOSE, the first 'playboy' footballer..... there is further reflection on the impact of the One Player, One Club ruling ... and interesting developments at MONMOUTH TOWN, an ambitious club from a town that hasn't often made an impression on the football world. There's also a short club feature on CPD Llanystumdwy and a visit to Mardy AFC. And in this issue the winners in our annual WELSH FOOTBALL WEBSITE AWARDS - with winners in three categories - the best new club website this season, the best unofficial site and the best official club site. As always, this issue contains the usual comprehensive coverage of dozens of competitions including the Welsh Premier, the main cup competitions, the Cymru Alliance and the Welsh League, plus all the local competitions in our popular Around the Regions column. We have international scene comments and all the best action photography from recent weeks. (25 April 2006)

CWMBRAN 1 - 2 CITY: Our two Pauls - Roberts and O'Neill, were on the mark again as we ended our Easter tour of South Wales with a valuable away victory as we strive to qualify for next season's Premier Cup (17 April 2006)

THE FUTURE'S BRIGHT - Our U-21s under Steve Evans maintained their table-topping form with a 0 - 2 win at Newtown last Wednesday - young Darren Ishmael and Iwan Jones were the scorers. We are in a strong poistion at the top of the Northern Section of the League table with 16 points from 7 games. TNS are our biggest threat, chasing hard with eight points from five games - so there's still all to play for. Well done to Steve and the lads. Adding this to the consistently excellent performances of our Academy, and the achievement of our young first teamers in reaching the Welsh Cup Final, it seems that the future's bright - and Blue - at City! CITY ACHIEVES UEFA CLUB LICENCE: Bangor City was one of five Welsh Premier League Clubs to be awarded a Club Licence for season 2006/7. In order to achieve the license, a club must satisfy tough regulations in terms of infrastructure available to stage European qualifying matches, the coaching and youth set ups, the Legal status, the Personnel and Administration of the club and the club’s financial documentation. UEFA Club Licensing is now in its third season and all clubs who wish to participate in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup and UEFA Intertoto Cup must have a Licence to play in the competition. I think that this is the first time in three attempts that we have achieved our licence without going to appeal, so a major vote of thanks to Alun Griffiths, Dilwyn Jones, Mel Jones and Brian Lucas for the hard work in form-filling and head-scratching they have put in that has helped us reach the same minimum criteria that Chelsea, Barcelona and AC Milan must achieve.
